The usual story

Cheap hosting is only cheap until the site goes down

Most owners we talk to cannot say for certain where their website is hosted. It is on a card that expired, in an account the last developer set up, or bundled into something a cousin bought in 2014. The renewal notice goes to an email nobody reads. Everything is fine right up until it isn't.

The bargain hosts are not lying about the price. They are just selling you a server and nothing else. Nobody there updates your plugins, notices when the contact form breaks, or restores last Tuesday's version after a bad edit. When the site goes down at 6pm on a Friday you open a ticket and wait. We hold the account, watch the site, and answer the phone.

What we usually find

Nobody at the company knows who the current host is, or what the login is

An expired SSL certificate throwing a red warning at every visitor

WordPress core and plugins months or years behind on updates

Backups that either do not exist or were never tested by restoring one

A site sharing a crowded server with hundreds of others, slow on a phone

Malware injected into the theme files, usually through an old plugin

Hosting billed to a personal card belonging to someone who left

Email and website tangled together, so moving one threatens the other

Plans and pricing

What managed hosting actually costs

Every plan includes the hosting, the maintenance, and the edits. The difference between them is how much work runs through us each month and how fast you need answers. You get a fixed price in writing before anything starts.

Essential care

From $99/month

One site, looked after properly. This is where most small businesses land and stay.

  • Managed cloud hosting for one site
  • Uptime monitoring with alerts to us, not to you
  • Daily off-site backups, kept and tested
  • SSL certificate issued and renewed
  • Core, theme, and plugin security patching
  • Malware scanning and cleanup
  • Content edits by email each month
  • Email support from the people who built the site

Growth care

Custom

For sites that change often, or a business running more than one of them.

  • Everything in Essential care
  • A larger monthly allowance for edits and new pages
  • Multiple sites or subdomains on one plan
  • Staging site for testing bigger changes
  • Priority response when something is urgent
  • Speed and security reviews as the site grows
  • Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 administration

Ecommerce and custom

Custom

Stores, membership sites, and custom applications where downtime costs real money.

  • Everything in Growth care
  • Ecommerce hosting sized for your traffic and checkout load
  • Payment, shipping, and inventory integrations maintained
  • Custom application and database hosting
  • Faster response when the store itself is affected
  • Ongoing development hours built into the plan

Migration from your current host is handled as part of onboarding. Domain registration and email licenses are billed by their providers and stay in your name.

How it goes

From wherever you are now to hosted with us

01

Find the site

We track down who currently hosts the site and the domain, even when the paperwork is long gone, and tell you exactly what you own and what you are paying for.

02

Copy and test

A full copy goes onto our servers and runs on a private staging URL. Forms, checkout, and page speed all get tested there before anything public changes.

03

Switch quietly

We update DNS at a low-traffic hour and leave your mail records alone, so email keeps arriving. Most migrations finish with visitors noticing nothing at all.

04

Look after it

Monitoring, daily off-site backups, patches, malware scans, and your edits. If something breaks, you get a person on the phone, not a ticket queue.

Who this is for

Owners who want one bill and one number

We host sites for small businesses across the Puget Sound and remotely nationwide. If you run your own servers or you have IT staff who enjoy this work, you do not need us. If nobody at your company wants to own a server, that is the whole point of the plan.

Straight answers

Questions we get asked most

Straight answers about managed web hosting, migrations, and what the monthly plan covers. If your question is not here, call and ask.

Ask the team

Plans start at $99 a month, and that includes the hosting, the maintenance, and your content edits rather than hosting alone. Sites that change often, run a store, or need faster response sit on a larger plan. We quote a fixed monthly price in writing after a short call, so there is no metered surprise at the end of a busy month.

Yes, and most of the sites we host arrived that way. We copy the site to our servers, run it on a private staging URL, test the pages and forms, then point the domain over at a quiet hour. Migration is handled as part of getting started, and it works whether your site is WordPress, a Squarespace export, or custom code.

No. We deliberately do not host email, because website hosting and mail servers failing together is a bad afternoon for everyone. We set you up on Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, which are more reliable than any web host's mailbox, and we manage the DNS records so your mail keeps working when the site moves.

Monitoring checks the site around the clock and alerts us, not you, so we usually know before a customer does. We find the cause, fix it, and restore from a backup if that is faster. You get told what happened in plain language afterward, including what we changed so it does not repeat.

Yes. We host WordPress, static and custom-coded sites, Next.js and other modern frameworks, and small web applications with a database behind them. If you are on Squarespace or Wix, we can export and rebuild the site so you actually own it. Tell us what you have and we will say plainly whether we can host it.

You do, always. We register domains in your name and your account, or leave yours where it is and just manage the DNS. Same rule for the website files and content. If you ever leave, you take the domain and a full copy of the site with you, and we help with the handover rather than making it difficult.

The site runs and gets tested on our servers before anything public changes, so the switch is only a DNS update. We lower the DNS cache time in advance, keep the old host live during the changeover, and leave your mail records untouched. Visitors land on one working copy or the other, never on an error page.

No, and here is the honest reason. Unmaintained sites are the ones that get hacked, and cleaning up an infected site costs far more than patching it would have. Selling you a server with nobody watching it would mean handing you the risk and calling it a discount. Hosting comes with the care plan because that is what keeps a site alive.
