The Kirkland market

Built for how Kirkland actually does business

Kirkland's economy leans on Lake Washington and a tech footprint that has grown fast. Google is the standout employer, with thousands of workers split between its Sixth Street campus and the newer Kirkland Urban development that wraps the downtown core. The city is also the original namesake of Costco's Kirkland Signature brand, a nod to the warehouse giant's early headquarters here before it moved to Issaquah. Around those names is a working business district of restaurants, galleries, and shops that draw both locals and weekend visitors off the waterfront.

The local business mix is smaller and more independent than neighboring Bellevue, which is part of the appeal. Downtown Kirkland and the Moss Bay waterfront are full of owner-run restaurants, art galleries, fitness studios, and service businesses that depend on foot traffic and reputation. Totem Lake to the north has been rebuilt around the Village at Totem Lake, pulling in retail and medical tenants. Most of the clients we work with here are these kinds of local operators who want a site that matches the quality of their storefront.

Technology

Google's two Kirkland campuses, anchored by Kirkland Urban, employ thousands and shape the downtown economy.

Retail

The rebuilt Village at Totem Lake and the downtown shopping district anchor a strong local retail scene.

Food and Hospitality

Waterfront restaurants and cafes along Moss Bay and Marina Park draw steady visitor and resident spending.

Health Care

EvergreenHealth's nearby medical center and a cluster of clinics serve the north Eastside.

Our approach in Kirkland

Designing a brand for a Kirkland business

01

Grounded in your market

We look at what your Kirkland and the Eastside competitors look like first, so your mark stands apart on the street it will actually compete on.

02

Simple enough to survive

A good local logo works embroidered on a polo, wrapped on a van, and shrunk into a browser tab. We design for the hardest case, not the prettiest mockup.

03

Delivered, documented, done

You get the files, the colors, the fonts, and a short guide. Any print shop or web developer can run with it from day one.
